Lani Medina is Counsel at Weinstein + Klein PC and a seasoned corporate transactional and M&A attorney with more than 15 years of experience advising businesses across finance, healthcare, technology, logistics, and private equity.

Her practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, minority investments, and corporate governance. Lani is known for providing clear, business-minded legal guidance that helps founders and leadership teams make confident decisions. She often serves as outside general counsel, bringing an in-house mindset while remaining practical and approachable.

Lani’s career spans big law training, in-house counsel roles, and entrepreneurial leadership. Before joining Weinstein + Klein, she served as Senior Corporate Counsel at PetVet Care Centers, Senior Associate at Barton LLP, and founded Lani Law PLLC, representing startups, small businesses, and mission-driven organizations.

Lani is a proud U.S. Air Force veteran, Bronx native, and Puerto Rican. She is the first lawyer in her family and brings discipline, integrity, and empathy to her work. During her military service, she was honored as Information Manager Airman of the Year, an experience that continues to shape her leadership style.

She is the founder of The Kind Deal Lawyer, a growing community and leadership platform centered on principled deal-making, ethical leadership, and humanity in the practice of law. Lani also serves on the board of Youth Voices Center, Inc., and is passionate about mentorship, community building, and the responsible use of technology, including artificial intelligence, in legal and business practices.
