Maureen Baker is a highly accomplished Lending & Business Development Officer with over 15 years of experience specializing in SBA lending. Currently serving at CIBC Bank, USA—the U.S. subsidiary of a leading Canadian financial institution—Maureen brings a wealth of expertise gained from previous roles at two of the largest U.S. banks, Citibank and JPMorgan Chase, in New York City.
Her deep understanding of SBA Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), combined with advanced skills in credit and financial analysis, has enabled Maureen to successfully originate and structure approximately $200 million in SBA and conventional loans over her career. She has a proven track record in facilitating business acquisitions, owner-occupied commercial real estate financing, and working capital lines of credit, with a primary focus on the Eastern U.S. and the ability to serve clients nationwide.
Maureen holds an MBA from the University of St. Thomas in Houston, Texas, and a Bachelor of Science in Finance from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University, Bloomington.
Outside of her professional achievements, Maureen is an avid runner and a passionate advocate for health and wellness. She has completed 12 New York City marathons and actively volunteers with organizations dedicated to children’s fitness, education, development, and the alleviation of poverty and hunger.
